DAIRY FARMERS’ BONUS
DISTRIBUTION OF £381,101. NEW ZEALAND COMPANY. Hamilton, Aug. 29. Bonus payments totalling over £381,000 will be posted to shareholders of the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited, to-morrow. The distribution to butter suppliers will be £319,673, representing an average of 1.0699 d per lb. butter-fat, and, with the bonus to be paid to cheese suppliers, the total will be £381,101. At the end of August last year £303,255 was paid to butter suppliers, so this year’s distribution represents an increase of £16,418. The bonus rates for this year are as follows: June to May, 3-8 d (shareholders’ bonus); November, .785 d December, .785 d January, .285 d February, 1.285 d; March, 1.785 d; April, 1.785 d; May, .290 d.
The bonus should be in the hands of suppliers on Thursday. About 9000 suppliers will share in the distribution.
