The Ruapehu Ski Club’s winter sports meeting at Mount Ruapehu concluded to-day. The club championship was won by Brian Murphy (Dawson Falls, Mount Egmont). The order in which points were allotted for the championship, which was awarded on the best performances in four events (downhill, long distance, ski jump and slalom) is (maximum possible points 400):— B. Tiie tournament ended in a sweeping victory for Taranaki competitors. No club championship is awarded to the winner of the ladies’ events, but Taranaki competitors showed superior form. Miss Pat. Murphy (Dawson Falls), a sister of Brian Murphy, won the ladies’ downhill race. Miss Joyce Beale (Stratford) won the slalom.
