SUPREME COURT BUSINESS
FIXTURES FOR CIVIL MATTERS.
PRISONERS THIS MORNING. The criminal business having been disposed of, Mr. Justice Ostler yesterday, arranged the order of the civil business to be dealt with at the present session of the Supreme Court at New Plymouth. Yesterday afternoon the hearing was commenced of the claim by H. R. Honeyfield against C. R. Honeyfield to determine whether moneys had been lent or given the defendant in the estate of the late Mrs. May E. Honeyfield. This will be continued this morning after prisoner:., have been sentenced and one undefended divorce petition disposed of. Fixtures for the remainder of the cizil business were made as follow:— . ’ Monday: G. G. Early v. R. and E. Tingey and Co., Ltd. Tuesday: H. V. S. Griffiths v. F.< J. Messenger and W. T. Taylor. Wednesday: Undefended divorce; a motion for discharge from bankruptcy by Henry Hamlin; application for a writ of mandamus by John McKay against J. W. Browne; originating summons in the estate of May Ellen Honeyfield deCCclSCd* *■' Thursday: Mortgagors’ relief applications. 'f t It was mentioned that the action between H. M. and A. H. Ries against A. M. and Emily Ries in connection with a partnership would probably not be coming on; there would certainly be interlocutory proceedings. An originating summons in connection with the deceased estate of Jeremiah O’Driscoll would probably not come on, it was stated. ■ The appeal under the Magistrates Court Act between Joseph Peachey and the Patea Borough Council was adjourned until next session. \ Mr. Justice Ostler yesterday granted discharge from bankruptcy to Fred Khouri, formerly restaurant keeper, New Plymouth (Mr. R. H. Quilliam).
