ADVERTISERS’ ANNOUNCEMENTS.

The British Drama League is rapidly humming more popular at Stratford, judging by the keenness shown from performers to the intending audiences at the first Central Taranaki festival at Stratford on Friday and Saturday nights. Then will be witnessed the results of the past month's rehearsals, in which everyone has been working well in each department to make the first festival an outstanding success. Hawera is sending ' two of its best plays, not for competiI tion for Saturday’s programme, and Inglewood is competing with a delightful farce. The programme is a varied one, from tragedy to light comedy. As the town hall does not possess the required scenery much trouble and expense have been incurred to “set” the productions adequately.
