Stubbs died in hospital from injuries received when his mount, Prince Flavio], crashed in the Knowsley Steeples at Caulfield on Saturday. Stubbs, who suffered concussion, had a spill earlier the same day, but a doctor declared him fit. He had had a successful career apd wa# aged 25.
