Derby 84 (Freeman six.for 30) and 194 (Freeman six for 82). Kent won by 160 runs. Worcestershire beats Gloucestershire. Worcestershire 193 (Goddard six for 67) and 205 (Goddard six. for 72). Gloucestershire 253 (Dacre 56) and one for 146 (Hammond 86 not put). Gloucestershire won by nine wickets. Sussex beats Surrey Sussex 441 (J. Parks 163). Surrey 214 and followed on, losing one for 36. Sussex won on the first innings. Yorkshire beats Leicestershire. Yorkshire 550 (Sutcliffe 174, "Mitchell 95). Leicestershire 154 and followed on, making 145 (Leyland six for 46), Yorkshire won by an innings and 251 runs. Lancashire beats Middlesex. 'Lancashire lost five for 414 and declared (Paynter 82; Lister 100 not out). Middlesex 191 (Hopwood five for 47) and followed on, making 200 (Holme 74; Hopwood six for 60). Lancashire won by an innings and 23 runs. Hampshire beats Nottinghamshire.' Hampshire 466 (Mead 152, Pothecary 118). Nottinghamshire lost seven for 396 (Keeton 110, Carr 84, Voce 66 not out, Lilley 62 not out). The match was drawn. Somerset beats Glamorgan. Glamorgan 234 (D. Davies 93) and ic?t none for 134 (Dyson 65 not out, E. Davies 74). Somerset lost eight for 429 and declared (Young 135). , i Somerset won on the first innings. Mead has scored 2000 runs for the season, the tenth time in his career.
