JUSTICES OF THE PEACE
QUARTERLY ASSOCIATION MEETING
MR. WOODWARD WELCOMED.
The new president, Mr. W. H. Woodward, S.M., was welcomed at last night’s quarterly meeting at Stratford of the Taranaki Justices of the Peace Association. There was an .attendance of members and their wives numbering about 20. Mr. N. H. Moss, vice-president of the Taranaki District Law Society, and Sergeant T.< Kelly, in charge of the Stratford police district, were also present. ■
■ Mr. N. B. Fletcher welcomed Mr. Woodward to the meeting.
The evening was occupied by a couple of talks, one by Mr. Woodward on life in Samoa and another by Mr. N. H. Moss on technocracy.
The following contributed items: Mr. B. P. Bellringer, songs; Mr. G. Me-. Isaacs, musical monologues; Mr. N. H. Moss, humour; Mr. J. Mounsey, songs; Mr. W. H. Skinner, reminiscenes; Mrs. N. B. Fletcher, songs.
