Edgar Robinson, aged 22, a farm hand, was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment to-day for unlawfully converting a car valued at £420. The police said that Robinson and two others met in town. on July 8 and decided to take a car. Having secured one they picked up a woman of doubtful character and drove to Wellington. There Robinson, realising the seriousness of his action, decided to return to Auckland." He was arrested yesterday. The car would be recovered, and it was hoped that the other men would be brought to justice. ....
