Mr. J. F. Phillips was yesterday reelected chairman of directors of the Waitoitoi Co-operative. Dairy Company, a position he has occupied for 17 of the 18 years the company has been in operation. Mr. A. D. Carr was re-elected de-puty-chairman. . ' Miss E. Gedney, Palmerston North, has been appointed Matron of the Wallace Hospital, Riverton, states an Invercargill Press ' Association message. The sympathy of the members of the New Plymouth Harbour Board with Mr. J. L. Campbell in the death of his wife was expressed at yesterday’s meeting of the board.
Mr. - Bert. O’Driscoll, Tamborine, Queensland, who has spent several weeks at New Plymouth, left yesterday morning for Auckland on his return .to Australia. He will sail by the Wanganella to-day but intends to return to New Plymouth later.
