INGLEWOOD GENERAL NEWS
“OLDE ENGLISH FAYRE.” The “olde English fayre” in connection with the Anglican queen carnival and mardi gras at Inglewood,, which was opened on Wednesday, was continued yesterday with very encouraging results. In the afternoon there was a good attendance of the public and the stalls continued to do very good trade. In the evening dancing on the village green was a great success, the large attendance of dancers greatly appreciating both the old time and modern dances to the music of Mrs. Trass and extras by Mrs. Feaver and Mrs. Harrington. The Inglewood band was also in attendance and its items were appreciated. Of the numerous competitions two were won by Mrs. List (cake) and Mrs. Breton (cake). At the conclusion of the fair tire vicar, the Rev. J. C. W. Mutter, thanked the people for their support in the effort to clear thet parish of its debts. A feature of the fair yesterday was the number of people who were taking photographs, or trying to, of the ladies in their old English dresses and shawls.
