GANDHI SEEKS INTERVIEW. - “AN HONOURABLE SETTLEMENT.” By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright Calcutta, July 14. No decision has yet been reached regarding civil disobedience, but Gandhi is expected .to give a verdict when the conference resumes to-day. Gandhi declared at a meeting of Congress leaders that he was prepared to accept an honourable settlement with the Government, but was not prepared to withdraw civil disobedience unconditionally and would prefer the movement to continue, even if only one honest worker remained. Gandhi is now seeking an interview with the Viceroy, but if unsuccessful is prepared to advise a continuance of the movement on modified lines...
