SECOND BOMB OUTRAGE

DAMAGE AT TOWNSVILLE.

HOLE BLOWN IN BANK WALL.

By Telegraph—Press Association.

Brisbane, July 13.

The second bomb outrage within a week occurred at Townsville, when a bomb tore a large hole in the wall of a bank. Nearly every window in the building was broken and the force of the explosion smashed windows in the Central, Grand and Queensland Hotels 200 yards away. The main business portion of the city was shaken. Most damage was done to the premises known as the Canning Casket corner, where all large windows were broken and the interior damaged. Indications point to the fact that an attempt was made to blow up the whole bank building, although police were on street duty only 50 yards away. _
