WARNING—IMPROPERLY FOCUSSED HEADLIGHTS. are reminded that it is a breach of the Motor Vehicle Regulations to drive motor vehicles with improperly focussed headlights. The "Council desires to give motorists an opportunity to have such headlights adjusted before instituting prosecutions for breach of the Regulations. RATES 1933-34. pUBLIC Notice is hereby given that the Inglewood County Council at the next Ordinary Meeting of the council to be held at the Council Offices, Rata Street, Inglewood, on Tuesday, the 4th day of July, 1933, at 10.30 a.m., in pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by Section 51 “The Rating Act, 1925,” Sections 120 and 121 “The Counties Act, ' 1920,” Section 52 “The Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act, 1926,” and Sections 84 and 85 “The Harbours Act, 1923,” and “The New Plymouth Harbour Empowering Acts of 1918 and 1924,” the Acts amending the same respectively, and of all other powers enabling it to do so, will make and levy the following Rates, all such Rates with the exception of the two Harbour Special Rates being for the year commencing on the Ist day of April, 1933, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1934, and the two Harbour Special rates being for the year commencing on the Ist day of October, 1932, and ending on the 30th day of September, 1933, viz:— NORTH RIDING: A General Rate of threepence in the pound and Hospital Rate (Separate Rate) of five.eighths of a penny in the pound. SOUTH RIDING: A General Rate of two and one-half pence in the pound and Hospital Rate (Separate Rate) of five-eighths of a penny in the pound. EAST RIDING:' A General Rate of three and seven-sixteenths of a penny in the pound and Hospital Rate (Separate Rate) of five-eighths of a penny in the pound. WEST RIDING: A General Rate of two and one-half pence in the pound and Hospital Rate (Separate Rate) of five-eighths of a penny in the pound. NEW PLYMOUTH HARBOUR RATE: A Special Rate of one penny farthing (IJd) in the pound on all rateable land within the area in the County of Inglewood described in the second schedule of the New Plymouth Harbour Board Empowering Acts 1998 and 1924, and a Special Rate of seven-eighths of a penny (7-8 d in the pound on all rateable land within the area in the County of Inglewood described in the Third Schedules of the New Plymouth Harbour Board Empowering Acts 1908 and 1924. All the above rates to be levied on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property within the County of Inglewood. The foregoing rates to be payable in one instalment at the Office of the Inglewood County Council, Rata Street, Inglewood, on the sth day of August, 1933. Pursuant to Section 54 “The Rating Act, 1925)) the valuation rolls are open for inspection without fee at the County Office, Rata Street, Inglewood, during Office Hours.
