SECRETS OF LOCKED ROOM. From the night Miss Marie Lloyd collapsed in the Edmonton Empire music hall in London 10 years ago and was carried home to what was to be her

death-bed, the door of the dressing room she used, with a star nailed thereon,, was kept locked until recently. Mr. Sidney Bernstein is now reconstructing this music hall into a cinema and the room has just been opened. In an old arm-chair .was found a handkerchief with the words “To Beloved. Marie from an Admirer” embroidered upon it. ■ /' -' ‘ - .. Blocking up the window were an. old black-and-white sketch on canvas of Marie Lloyd and a photograph of the laying of the foundation stone of the theatre by “My Fancy,” the old music hall favourite who died a few weeks ago. Mr. Bernstein is keeping the star found on the door.
