MARITIME BOARDI’S RESOLUTIONS. THIRD OF SEAMEN UNEMPLOYED. By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. London, May 24. The National Maritime Board, representing owners and seamen of the mercantile marine, sent a resolution to Mr. Walter Runciman, President of the Board of Trade, in connection with the World Economic Conference, pointing out that one-third of Britain’s seamen are unemployed, and urging the Government to do its utmost to remove the disabilities of British shipping resulting from foreign subsidies and flag discrimination.
