The Commonwealth wool sales to the end of April represented a turnover of £30,060,192, compared with £27,289,447 during the first ten months of last season. The sales totalled 2,665,615 bales, compared with 2,435,058 last season. The average price for greasy wool was £ll 4s 2d per bale, or 8.65 d a lb., compared with averages of £ll 3s 5d per bale and 8.6 d a lb. last season.
