FAILED TO KEEP TO LEFT. VISITING MOTORIST FINED. The failure to keep his motor-car to' the left of the roadway when crossing

the Waiwakaiho bridge on April 14 resulted in Joseph A. Lee (Otahuhu) being convicted and fined £1 (costs 10s) .by Mr. W. H. Woodward, S.M., in the Police Court at New Plymotuh yesterday.Lee was driving from Auckland to New . Plymouth, explained Senior-Ser-geant Turner. When he was crossing the bridge his car was Ift. 2m. on its wrong side of the roadway. About 18ft. from the New Plymouth end of the bridge he collided with another car proceeding, in the opposite direction. No one was injured, but both cars were considerably damaged. There was plenty of room for two cars to pass on the bridge, Which was 20 feet wide.
