A Punjab mail train was derailed 273 miles from Calcutta early this morning. It is reported that four were killed and seven injured. The telegraph wires were cut and sabotage is suspected. Two nights ago an attempt was made to derail the Delhi-Ahmedabad express but the driver pulled up in time. Heavy blocks of stone were placed on the line. A later message stated that it was subsequently discovered that the derailment had been caused by the removal of a rail.
