SPORTS TEAMS AND FIXTURES. Inglewood Rugby teams for Thursday are: First juniors to play Toko at Toko: Kay, Trigger, Robson, Alleman, Allen, Parkin, Sutton, Burke, Crossman, Sutton, Patterson, Mackinder, Irving, Schumanski, Barry, Dodunski, Peters, Dryden and Drake. Thirds to play Celtic at Inglewood: Franklyn, Taylor, Klenner, Sanson, Brown, Standing, Crossan, Lindsay, Yeates, Zinnerman, Huzziff, Ford, Young, Rumball, Gamlin, Ladbrook, Ward and Arnold. The official closing of the Inglewood Bowling Club’s greens for the season will be held on Thursday, when Cottier, winner of the Thursday competition, and Codd, winner of the Saturday competition, will play off for the Popple Cup. The presentation of trophies to the winners of the competitions will also take place.

Inglewood hockey teams selected are: Men v. Stratford at Inglewood: Barry, Shotter, Evans, Nicholls, Timms, Thomason, Buitows, Evetts, Harris, Yeates, Preo; emergencies, Wright (forward) and Pyne (back). Junior ladies v. Stratford Technical High School at Stratford: Mrs. Downs, Misses M. Codd, J. Alleman, Mrs. Vickers, Misses J. Wright, G. Norcross, C. Devereux, Mrs. Harrington, Miss B. Franklyn and Mrs. Hall. The rainfall at “Riversdale” for April was 6.54 inches on 20 days, while for the corresponding month of last year 9.24 inches fell on 16 days. The average fall for April is 8.02 inches. At “Riversdale” 4.32 inches were recorded on Monday last, while at Inglewood 4.11 inches were registered.
