EVERTON WINS CUP TRIAL

DEFEAT OF MANCHESTER CITY. CROWD OF 92,300 SEES GAME. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 7.30 p.m. London, April 29. The Association football cup final match, played at Wembley in the presence of 92,000 people, was won by Everton, which defeated Manchester City by 3 goals to nil. The Duke of York represented the King, who owing to the unsettled weather was advised to remain at Windsor. The Sun says the Duchess of York smilingly presented the cup and medals. It was a typical cup tie game. Everton was infinitely superior to Manchester, which faded out. This was Everton’s first appearance at Wembley, although it is the second time the team has won the cup.
