NEW ZEALAND HOCKEY
MEETING OF ASSOCIATION. APPOINTMENT OF OFFICERS. By Telegraph-Press Association. Wellington, April 27. Delegates from all parts of the Dominion attended the annual meeting of the New Zealand Women’s Hockey Association last night The following officers were elected:— Patroness, Lady Bledisloe; president, Miss P. (Auckland); secretary, Mrs. Poulter; treasurer, Miss A. Yorston; assistant secretary, Mr. L. Butcher;; executive committee, Misses M. Gilfedder, M. Wilkins, J. Harper, F. Laycock and Mr. J. A. Scott. ' Ashburton was granted affiliation as a separate association. It was decided that the annual subscription of each affiliated association be £2 2s, plus an additional special levy of 3d a player, at least half of which shall be credited to a special overseas travelling trust fund. Remits from the south, concerning the entering of teams for • tournament; the appointment of a m nagrcss and chaperons, and the expense of allowances were carried. The annual meeting of the New Zealand (Men’s) Hockey Association was held last evening. . Officers elected were: Patron, the Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe; president, Mr. H. S. J. Goodman (Otago); treasurer, Mr. P. M. Quartermain (Auckland); secretary, Mr. W. H. Down (Dannevirke); management committee, Messrs. R. Gracie (Nelson),. H. Thorp (Buller), A. F. Preston (Manawatu), C. Bellamy (Canterbury), S. G. Holland (Wanganui), I. Gunn (Waikato), C. C. Holland (Canterbury); ar "tor. Mr. A. P. Stewart. It was decided that the management committee be recommended favourably to consider the holding r of a South Island tournament for associations and subassociations this season and the holding of an inter-island match.
