EASTER BOWLING TOURNAMENT. The Warea Football Club held a dance in the Warea Hall last week. There was a good attendance, the door takings amounting to £l2 12s. Vinsen’s Ambassadors supplied the music, and extras were played by Miss F. Julian and Miss L. Gilhooly. The euchre was won by Miss M. Corbett and Mr. T. Ryan. The Easter bowling tournament (pairs) was held on the Warea green. Results:— First round: William, Muir (s) 21 v. Julian, Roebuck (s) 24; Harte, Lewis (s) 18 v. Doyle, Henderson (s) 28; Sole, Lawn (s) 22 v. Brophy, Andrews (s) 12; Kupe 23 v. Wi 18. Second round: Harte, Muir 23 v. Brophy, Roebuck 21; Julian, Andrews 14 v. Doyle, Kupe 26; Williams, Henderson 17 v. Sole, Wi 21; Lewis 27 v. Lawn 10. Third round: Sole, Kupe 24 v. Julian, Wi 11; Doyle, Lewis 27 v. Brophy, Lawn 19; Harte, Andrews 30 v. Williams, Muir 24; Roebuck 15 v. Henderson 24. Fourth round: Williams, Roebuck 14 v. Julian, Lawn 22; Doyle, Andrews 26 v. Brophy, Wi 12; Sole, Lewis 26 v. Harte, Kupe 15; Henderson 24 v. Muir 22. Fifth round: Williams, Kupe 28 v. Brophy, Lewis 10; Julian, Wi 8 v. Doyle, Henderson 29; Sole Roebuck 23 v. Harte, Muir 18; Lawn 21 v. Andrews Doyle and Sole both won the same number of games, but Doyle had the highest 14. Winners: Skips, Kupe; leads, Doyle, number of points in the first two games.
