RESTRICTION PROPOSALS
CONFERENCE AT SYDNEY NEW ZEALANDERS’ ARRIVAL AUSTRALIAN OPINION SPLIT \ DAIRY BOARDS’ DISCUSSIONS By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 12.5 a.m. Sydney, April 18. Immediately after the arrival of the New Zealand Dairy Board representatives, Messrs. Dynes Fulton, W. Grounds and T. C. Brash, to-day they entered a conference at Sydney with representatives of the Australian Dairy Produce Export Board and discussed the problem of butter export restriction. It is understood the talk was more or less informal, but it is expected concrete proposals will be submitted to-morrow. No statement was issued for. publication. It was stated unofficially that a majority of the Australian delegates, numbering 12, did not favour a restriction of exports but that the remainder insisted there was no alternative and that it would be better in the long run to pursue that course. Mr. C. Hanbury, one of the Australian delegation which recently visited New Zealand, presented the report of his colleagues covering the visit to the Dominion.
