WELLINGTON GOLF TITLE

LONGUET’S FINE PERFORMANCE.

PERFECT STYLE SHOWN IN FINAL.

By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington., Last Night.

Longuet (Wellington Club) won the provincial golf championship to-day by beating Cook (Hutt) two and one. Longuet showed perfect style with a long follow-through. Probably he will be heard of in national golf. The best golf of the tourney was seen in the morning semi-final when Louguet beat Parker at the nineteenth. Longuet took 37 each way to Parker’s 36 and 38. Longuet took the nineteenth four to five. In the other semi-final Cook beat Arthur Duncan four and three.
