WEDDING.
STODART—PAPPS. At Knox Church, Patea, on Wednesday, April 12, Hazel Miriam, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. Papps, of Patea, was married to William Swan Stodart, eldest son of the late Mr. Stodart, of Fifeshire, Scotland, and of Mrs. Stodart, of Wanganui. The ceremony was (-performed by the Rev. A. W.. Smaill in the presence of a large attendance of relatives and friends. The church had been artistically decorated by many friends of the bride, and a large floral bell hung suspended over the. young couple. The bride, who entered the church with her father. *vore a gown of ivory satin and exquisite lace, the long graceful lines of the frock forming a train. Her beautiful net veil, lent by an old friend of the family, fell from a dainty Juliet cap caught at the back with orange blossom, and she carried a sheaf of red roses and maidenhair fem. The bridesmaid, Miss Merle Moore, of Blenheim, wore an ankle-length frock of green floral organdie with frilled godets of green and a green juliet cap with mittens and shoes to tone. A Victorian posy of autumn-tinted flowers completed her toilet. Jean Kinnaird, the flower-girl, was dressed the same as the bridesmaid. Mr. Stan Penn, of Wanganui, attended the bridegroom as best man.
