IN TARANAKI 58 YEARS
DEATH OF MRS. W. BOCOCK. The death occurred at her residence, Molesworth Street, New Plymouth, on Monday of another of the band of pioneers, Mrs. B. A. Booock, widow of the late Wm. Bo cock. Mrs. Bocock and her husband arrived at New Plymouth, from/ Lincolnshire, England, on September 3, 1875, in the sailing ship Halcione. From the time of their arrival they resided in Taranaki, being for about 16 years engaged in farming at various places along the coast between New Plymouth- and Rahotu, after which they took up a farm and carved out a home for themselves and family at Egmont Village, where they always took a keen interest in public’ affairs and were well known and respected and whence they retired to live at New Plymouth 22 years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Bocock were predeceased by a son dnd a daughter, the surviving members of the family being Mrs. Geo. Marsh (New Plymouth), and Messrs. R. W. (New Plymouth), F. E. (Ngaere), G. E. (Palmerston North) and J. H. Bocpck (Auckland). The funeral will leave the house at 2 p.m. to-day.
