TAHORA NOTES

ANNUAL SCHOOL PICNIC. (From Our Own Correspondent.) The Tahua School picnic, which was held recently, proved a great success for both parents and children. Each child attending school received a prize, while the “tinies” made merry with the toys which were given out. Each child also received a bag of lollies. The day was spent in races and games. Great praise is due to Mr. O’Donnell, who always kept the kettle boiling. Miss Zena Hayward has left to taka up a position in Auckland. On the day of her departure her schoolmates presented her with a handsome scent spray.
