CROQUET FINALS DECIDED
CAMPBELL AND McL’DOWIE CUPS. PATEA AND ELTHAM WIN. The finals of the South Taranaki A and B grade croquet championships were decided yesterday under perfect conditions. Campbell Cup. (A grade) matches were played on the Hawera lawns, and. the McL’Dowie Cup (B grade) matches on the Park green. After the contests Mr. J. M.' Ciague, president of the South Taranaki Association, congratulated' the winners; the cups were presented by the respective donors, Mrs. J. M. Campbell and Mrs. W. McL’Dowie. Results are:— Campbell Cup—A Grade. Semi-finals: Patea beat Park, Avon beat Eltham. Final: Patea beat Avon. McL’Dowie Cup—B Grade. Semi-finals: Park heat Patea, 52-3; Eltham beat Kaponga, <©-14. Final: Eltham bea£ Park.
