NORTH TARANAKI CRICKET
DIVISIONAL FINAL ARRANGED. MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEE’ r S. Arrangements for the final of the North Taranaki senior cricket competition were made at last night’s meeting at New Plymouth of the northern division of the Taranaki Cricket Association. There were present Messrs. T. H. Bates (chairman), H. J. Larkin, P. S. Carroll, H. W. Brown, F. Ferry, S. Sampson, S. O. Jones, Short, W. Beard and H. J. Abram (honorarysecretary). It was decided to arrange the northern division final between New Plymouth Old Boys and Tikorangi for next Saturday-, the match to be played at Pukeku-a Park. Hours were arranged as 10 to 1 and 1.45 to 6 p.m. Mr. H. W. Briwn was appointed manager. It was decided to supply luncheon for the teams and to ask the Old Boys and Tikorangi clubs to provide a ball each. If sufficient is taken at the gates club expenses will be defrayed. The secretary was instructed to write to the southern division asking if it would be suitable to play, the provincial final on Saturday week. N. Kinsella, of the New Plymouth club, and J. Ford, Western Park, were reinstated from senior to senior B grade. The bank balance of the division was £32 4s Bd, reported Mr. Carroll. There was £24 5s owing in capitation and about £5 Ils in ground fees from various clubs. It was decided to pay £25 to. the Pukekura Park sportsground committee. It was reported that footballers were already using the Tukapo ground. The chairman pointed out that cricket had the
prior right at present. The secretary was instructed to write to the Tukapa Club pointing this out and fhat the wickets must be kept intact
