RECHABITES HOLD PICNIC

ENJOYABLE DAY AT EVERETT PARK A picnic was held at Everett Park, Inglewood, on Saturday afternoon by the Unity Tent Independent Order of Rechabites together with the Safeguard Juvenile Tent. There was a large attendance of members and their friends. The weather was perfect and the surroundings were ideal. The river flowing through the reserve soon claimed any who had brought their bathing togs while others prepared for afternoon tea. A lengthy sports programme in a paddock loaned by Bro. Wellington opposite the reserve took up most of the afternoon. Officials were: Judges: Bro. N. F. Way and G. H. White; starter, Bro. ?■ Hopkins; handicapper, Bro. G. W, Kirk. After the sports the party returned to the reserve for tea. The picnickers reached home at 7.30 p.m.,_ all agreeing that the outing had been an unqualified success thanks to the careful arrangements made by the Tent secretary, Bro. W. Jones.
