PERSONAL PARAGRAPHS. Mrs. S. Cosbrook, Fitzroy, is visiting her daughter, Mrs. Lew George. Miss Mary Gall and Master Jack Gall are the guests of the Misses Lambert. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Gall spent last week-end at Strathmore, where they were the guests of Mr. Gall’s parents. Miss D. Callaghan spent the week-end at her home at Stratford. Mr. and Mrs. Jackson, Palmerston North, are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. G. C. Rutherford. Mrs. W. Drake and Mr. C. Drake, who were visitors to New Plymouth, have returned home. Miss Jean Lambert is visiting Ratapiko for a few weeks. The Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union held a successful dance on Friday, Purangi, Ratapiko and Tarata being represented. The music was played by Mr. and Mrs. S. George. Messrs. Archie Lambert and George were masters of ceremony. The Cinderella dance was won by Mr. B. Matthews and Mrs. S. George, the big Monte Carlo dance by Mr. P. Toppins and Miss B. George and the second Monte Carlo by Mr. Cliff Coriull and Miss Grace Surrey. Members of the division provided supper. Mrs. E. Bishell, whose death occurred recently, was very popular and most active in social affairs and the Women’s Institute,
