WEATHER FINE AT FIRST
WARM NORTHERLY WINDS. '■ By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night Showers in the northern and northeastern portion of the North Island will extend gradually southwards but otherwise the weather will be fair to fine with warm temperatures. An intense anti-cyclone is located east of New Zealand. A shallow depression is centred near Cape Maria van Diemen and a rather deep one near Tasmania. There will be north-east to northerly winds, strong in the far north and moderate but increasing elsewhere. Seas will be rough north of East Cape and smooth to moderate elsewhere.
