£27,000,060 OFFERED TO DATE. AMOUNTS GROWING DAILY. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, March 9. Offers of conversions to a lower rate of interest by holders of Government securities totalled £27,000,000 up to last night. The Minister of Finance, the Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates, said the Treasury was still receiving gratifying response to the appeal to . investors to assist the Government in bringing the conversion of its £115,000,000 internal debt to a successful conclusion. There was sti'-l over a fortnight before the closing data for applications, and as the total- amount involved in voluntary offers was growing daily there was every reason to believe that the result will come up to expectations.
