MISTAKE BY HIS COMPANION. CONDITION NOT SERIOUS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Palmerston N., Feb. 14., While shooting rabbits with his employer, Lugi Naoro, at Shannon last evening, Cecil James Wood, aged 17, whose parents reside at Wellington, received a discharge from a gun m his chest. It appears that the two moved apart. Naoro, believing his companion was behind him and to the left, fired at a movement of a rabbit in the scrub. He found that Wood had be?n hurt, but not seriously. Wood was admitted to hospital, where his condition is satisfactory.
