Mrs. D. Jones, who has been visiting friends, has returned to Christchurch. Miss I. Armstrong, Palmerston North, is the guest -or Mrs. C. Masters, Hadfield Street. Mrs. D. M. McKay, New Plymouth, is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. Hunger, senr. Mrs. W. Hutchings, Eastbourne, Wellington, is staying with Mrs. W. Lester. Miss Instill, Foxton, is the guest of Mrs. W. H. Walton at the vicarage. Misses Jean and Nellie Carey have returned from a holiday at Auckland. Mrs. Ward, Manaia, is visiting her daughter, Mrs. F. Ramsbottom. Miss Ona Beyle has left Patea to take a position at Aramoho, Wanganui. Miss P. Spurdie, Wanganui, is staying in Patea. Mrs. W. Bargrove and family have arrived at Patea following Mr. Bargrove’s appointment to succeed Mr. A. C. Thompson at the Bank of New Zealand. Mrs. A. J. Campbell -has" left Patea for Te Puke, Bay of Plenty, where she will reside. Miss Hazel Boyle is visiting her sister, Mrs. Ryder, at Levin. Miss Leila Adams left yesterday for a short holiday at. Masterton. , . ■ Miss E. Clarkson, Stratford, visited her mother, Mrs. J. Clarkson, Bedford Street, this week. Mesdames C. Masters, A. J. Gibbs, W. Glenny, W. Lester and J. Dwyer are to compete in the South Taranaki croauet championships next week.
