How a cow’s tail caused the death of a motor-cyclist: Clifford Jolm Loveridge, a gardener, was motor-cycling to his work early in the morning at Taunton (Eng.), herd of cows. As he passed slowly when he found his way barred by a through the herd one of the cows swished its tail, which became caught in the chain of the motor-cycle. The frightened cow dragged the machine and rider a distance of 30 feet. It was not, however, until the cow’s tail had been removed that Loveridge lost his balance and fell. In that slight fall he received a fractured skull and died in hospital.
