CHILDREN’S GARDENS JUDGED. Mr. J. Moratti • and party, who have been spending a fishing holiday at Waikawau, have returned. All had a very •enjoyable time and several good catches were made. Mrs. J. Sellars, who has been the guest of Mrs. Mackie, Junction Road, during the summer vacation, has returned to Wellington. Mr. L. Mitchell has motored to Wellington. Miss P. Blackbourn, who is an inmate of the New Plymouth hospital, is progressing favourably. Mr. Dill-Macky, agricultural instructor, Taranaki Education Board, visited the district on Wednesday and judged the home garden plots of the school children. Mr. Dill-Macky expressed pleasure at seeing such good plots from children who had not had any previous experience at the work. "
