The Holmglen transhipped her cargo to the John at Wellington yesterday and returns south to load for New Plymouth. (Hooker Bros.). The John is due at New Plymouth from Wellington to-morrow and sails for Waikato the same day before returning south to load. Hooker Bros.). The Hauturu left Onehunga for New Plymouth yesterday and is due here today with 170 tons. The vessel will proceed to Wanganui in the afternoon before returning to Onehunga. (Northern Co.). OVERSEAS SHIPS’ MOVEMENTS.PORT NAPIER ON MONDAY. The Port Napier, which is unloading slag at Auckland, will leave there at 5 p.m'. to-day and is due at New Plymouth on Sunday night to discharge 1300 tons, mostly fertiliser. After discharge the vessel will'load 4100 boxes of butter, 7000 crates of cheese and 15,750 freight carcases of meat and will complete at Gisborne, Napier, Wanganui and Wellington, sailing on March 11 from Wellington for England, via Montevideo. OTIRA LOADING. ..The Otira, which arrived at New Plymouth direct from Gladstone, Queensland, on Wednesday morning, is loading 6800 crates of cheese and 7500 boxes of butter. From New Plymouth the Otira will proceed to Timaru to-morrow. / . KENT FROM FALMOUTH. One of a number of vessels arriving at New Zealand from England in ballast or light trip, the Kent berthed at New Plymouth on Wednesday morning after a 49 days’ voyage from England to load 26,000 freight carcases of meat, 3300 boxes of butter and 7000 crates of cheese. The Kent will proceed to Auckland to-mor-row. HAURAKI DUE TO-DAY. The Hauraki, which left Auckland on Monday for Wellington, left there yesterday for New Plymouth. She is due today and will sail in the afternoon for Lyttelton, Dunedin and Sydney to complete discharge. ANTINOUS FOR NEW PLYMOUTH. With a full cargo of phosphate from Nauru Island, the steamer Antinous reached Auckland on Tuesday. The vessel will sail for New Plymouth about Tuesday to complete unloading. TANKER VARDAAS DUE. After unloading the Auckland portion of her, cargo of bulk oil from the Pacific Coast of North America, the Norwegian motor-tanker Vardaas sailed from Auckland for New Plymouth and Wellington on Wednesday afternoon to complete unloading. The Vardaas is due at New Plymouth to-morow and after completing. discharge at Wellington she will leave ..for Balik Papan to load for Europe. > •• • THE CORNWALL. The Cornwall has arrived at Napier to continue her Homeward loading. She will leave to-day for Gisborne, Opua, New Plymouth, Picton, Timaru and Bluff, from where she will sail finally on March 1 for London, via Cape Horn. The Cornwall is due at New Plymouth on February 18. THE GABRIELLA DUE TO-DAY. The intercolonial vessel Gabriella is due at New Plymouth to-day direct from Sydney and Australian ports. She will discharge 292 tons'of coal and 165 tons of general cargo and timber at New Plymouth and .sails this evening for Wellington. FOR TOURIST TRAFFIC. Spotless white passageways and stout stained, staircases evidenced the change in the accommodation of the New Zealand’ Shipping Company’s steamer Rotorua, which arrived at. Auckland on Monday afternoon on her first voyage since being converted to a tourist class ship. The effect of the renovation of the ship is to provide more cabin accommodation, and to make the whole of the deck space open to the passengers, who on this trip numbered 117. The accommodation ranges from single berth cabins to six-berth. De luxe cabins have private bathrooms attached. Further improvements since the change to a oneclass ship are the conversion of the third class lounge into a ladies’ lounge, and the third class smoke room into children’s rooms. Passengers now have the use of five public rooms, and a permanent swimming bath has been fitted on the promenade deck. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS.
