£7,000,006 WORTH OF CONTRACTS. REJOICING IN BRITAIN. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, February 8. The Admiralty has distributed £7,000,000 in naval contracts. A cruiser each has been allocated to Greenock, The Tyne and Devonport, a flotilla leader to Scotstown, destroyers to Birkenhead, Cowes, Clydebank and The Tyne, and two sloops to Southampton. The prospect of work has caused great rejoicing at these centres. The keel of a new cruiser was laid at Barrow yesterday.
