WAREA TENNIS TEAM BEATEN. A team from the Warea Tennis Club visited the Pungarehu courts on Saturday. After some very close and interesting contests Pungarehu emerged winners by 12 sets to 9. Following are particulars of the games, Pungarehu names being mentioned first:— Ladies’ Singles: Miss C. Brophy lost to Miss N. Wells 4—7; Miss I. Gray lost to Miss J. Lewis 4—7; Miss M. Kira beat Miss M. Doyle and V. Hopkinson 7—3. The Pungarehu school grounds are in fine order. There is a wonderful array of flowers and the tennis lawns are very fine. The change in the appearance of these grounds during the past few years has been very great and the school has won second place for the Cuthbert Shield.
