The Ministry of Labour Gazette reveals that the value of new buildings, including houses, approved in 140 towns in Britain in the last three months of 1932 was £19,015,000. This figure compares with £13,000,000 for the corresponding period of the previous year and £150,000 lower than in the second quartej of 1929, when the building boom was at its height.
