After consultation with the Air Ministry the committee organising the search for Mr. Bert Hinkler, the missing Australian airman, abandoned plans for a land search in Switzerland, being convinced of the impossibilities of finding Mr. Hinkler alive. It is now proposed to devote the funds to the erection of a memorial in London.
