NORMANBY ITEMS
Mrs. W. G. Gane and Miss Pearl Gane were visitors to Wanganui during the week.
Mr. and Mrs. A. McAsey returned on Tuesday from a short visit to Wanganui.
Miss North, who has been spending a holiday as the guest of her sister, Mrs. Parslow, has returned to Stratford.
Mrs. Walker and Miss Molly Walker, Waverley, are visiting Normanby as the guests of Mrs. F. Riddle. Mrs. E. T. Peach, Misses Gane and Preston were among the visitors to New Plymouth who took flights in the Southern Cross.
Among those present to view the blooms displayed at the Horticultural Society’s second gladioli exhibition were Mesdames T. J. Allan, W. G. Gane, G. H. Buckeridge, A. T. Wills, C. Parrington, F. W. Sutton, Pease, A. Campbell, Welsh (Hawera), W. McL’Dowie (Matapu), F. Pidgeon, D. M. Cowie, E. T. Peach, A. McAsey, E. P. Grant, F. W. Riddle, C. Coxhead, G. Galloway, Misses Buchanan, I. R. McLean (Hawera), Larcom, T. Wyatt (Ararata), C. Tonks, A. Wills, V. Allan and P. Gane.
