A triple-engined 12-ton aeroplane piloted by Captain Mermoz and a crew of six, including the constructor, M. Rene Conzinet, left Saint Louis, Senegal, at 3.48 a.m. to-day for Natal and Brazil. The flight is to demonstrate the practicability of a regular South Atlantic air service. ; • . A wireless message received at 6.10 stated that all were well. The pilot was hoping to maintain a speed of 150 miles an hour.
