WAITARA PERSONAL ITEMS

The funeral of Mr. Herman Marius Lund took place at the Waitara Cemetery on Thursday. The cortege was a lengthy one. The pall-bearers, members of the Masonic Lodge, were Messrs. W. Joll, J. R. Bennett, E. A. George, H. M. Purdie, F. W. Matthews and C. Rumball. The service at the graveside was conducted by Archdeacon G. H. Gavin and the Rev. H. S. Fussell. Brother A. Chittenden, in the absence of Brother I. G. Prichard, W.M., read the Masonic service. Mr. and Mrs. W. Middleton returned from Waihi beach where they have been on holiday, on Thursday night. Mr. W. B. Glasgow has returned from his holiday, which he spent at Wellington and Christchurch.
