MR. S. M. BRUCE IN LONDON
NEGOTIATIONS FOR CONVERSIONS. RETURN TO AUSTRALIA INDEFINITE By Telegraph—Pre** Ann.—Copyright. London, Jan. 12. It has been stated in Australia that Mr. S. M. Bruce’s stay in. London depends upon whether the World Economic Conference is held in the first half of 1933. The Press Association learns that this will not now influence him. Unless there are unexpected political developments in Australia, Mr. Brtice is certain to stay until the negotiations over conversion loans are complete. ; As the ban on issues is partially relaxed in-favour of certain municipal issues, W- Bruce’s operations will take longer than originally expected. This delay complicates Mr. Bruce’s negotiations and reduces the time available for handling the New South Wales £9,000,000 loan due for repayment on July 1.
