LOAN TO AUSTRIA APPROVED
RATIFICATION BY PARTIES.
(British Official Wireless.) Rec. 5.5 p.m. • Rugby, Dec. 31. Ratifications of the protocol providing for a loan to the Austrian Government amounting to 300,000,000 shillings have been deposited at Geneva by .Britain, Italy and Austria. Ratification by France before midnight to-night, which was necessary to give effect to the protocol, was assured last night when the French Senate by 148 votes to 68- approved the Bill to give a guarantee to the French share in the loan.
