SENTENCES AT WELLINGTON. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Dec. 19. Prisoners sentenced by the Chief Justice are: Eva Hoare, aged 43, for forgery and uttering (four charges), one year’s reformative detention. William Lindsay Atkinson, for indecent assault on a male at Palmerston North, three years’ reformative detention. Leslie Cecil McCarthy, for delivering a forged telegram and on two charges of forging and uttering, 18 months’ reformative detention, concurrent on each charge and concurrent with the sentence he is serving.
