A fault in the main power line from Arapuni to Auckland resulted in the failure of power over a great part of the province for. 20 minutes from six o’clock this evening. Nearly 200 trams were held up in Auckland although the peak traffic period had passed. Householders were affected only where electric cooking was used. There are three lines available and when the fault was located another line was commissioned.
