TOWN AND COUNTRY DRAW. WELLINGTON COMPILE 364 RUNS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Town v. Country cricket match ended in a draw to-day. In reply to Country’s total of 435, Town responded with 364. J. Newman, the Nelson lefthander, bowled so ably that five wickets were down for 104, but Dempster then stepped.. into the breach and played a masterly innings for 207, which included. 33 boundary strokes. His was the last wicket to fall. ' , Newman put up an outstandmg bowling performance, sending down 47 overs, 14 of which were maidens, for five wicxets and 86 runs.
